António Cunha Vaz Managing Partner and founder of Cunha Vaz & Associados, with a vast fund of experience in communication management in a range of companies and institutions. He has worked on the staff of the Portuguese Parliament, on the staff of the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, at the European Commission, as a consultant for the National Civil Engineering Laboratory and for Espírito Santo Commerce for European affairs, as guest professor in community law, on the staff of the Banco Comercial Português group and as a director of Oni. Author of a number of books and articles on European affairs, writer and presenter for a number of TV programmes, weekly columnist for Diário Económico and a regular contributor to a number of media publications. After graduating in law from Lisbon University, he studied executive management at INSEAD and pursued post-graduate studies in international relations at the Université Libre de Bruxelles and in European economics at ISEG. |

Assunção Sá da Bandeira Having started her professional career at Banco Totta Aliança as an adviser to the directors, she saw through the merger process with Banco Lisboa & Açores. She subsequently worked freelance in communication and public relations, supporting a number of companies and organizations on special projects, such as the opening of Citibank's first office in Portugal, organization of strategy meetings in Portugal for the Readers Digest Group, with participants from all over the world, and planning and seeing through visits to Portugal by leading figures and bodies, such as the directors of the Rothschild Group. In 1986, she founded BA&N - Comunicação e Imagem, and served two terms of office as president of APECOM (Portuguese Association of Communication Companies). She joined Cunha Vaz & Associados as a director in 2005. |

David Seromenho With a degree in marketing from the Instituto Português de Administração de Marketing, he started his career in communication with the consultancy firm Weber Shandwick. He later worked as a marketing manager in the new technologies sector, later returning to the communication sector with a post as accounts manager at Inforfi. On the staff of Cunha Vaz & Associados since its inception, as senior account manager and, since 2005, as director. |

António Ferreira With a degree in business organization and management from ISCTE, he started his professional career as auditor at Caixa Geral de Depósitos, later moving to another position as auditor with Moore Stephens. With an appointment as assistant financial manager at Ferrovial Inmobiliária he pursued a career in financial management, also working as financial analyst for Jerónimo Martins, SGPS, S.A., in the field of consolidated accounting, and as head of accounts for the Consulgal Group, before joining Cunha Vaz & Associados as administrative and financial director, in March 2007. |

António Figueira After graduating in law from Lisbon University, he pursued post-graduate studies in European Affairs at the Portuguese Catholic University, and then a masters' degree in international relations at the Université Libre de Bruxelles. Having followed the doctoral programme at the London School of Economics and Political Science, he was awarded his doctorate in the Contemporary History of International Relations by ISCTE (University of Lisbon). He worked for the European Commission from 1986 to 1996, on the staff of the Spokesman's Office and as Assistant Director of the Commission's offices in Portugal, handling contacts with the media. He also worked at the Commission's Directorate-General of Information, in the unit responsible for monitoring public opinion trends. António Figueira has also lectured in European affairs, at Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa and at ISCTE. A columnist for Diário Económico and author of a number of works on European affairs, he was awarded the Jacques Delors Prizes in 2003 for the "best academic essay on community topics". On the staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from 1998 to 2005, he worked on the staff of the Secretary of State for European Affairs and at the Portuguese Mission at the Council of Europe, in Strasbourg. António Figueira joined the team at Cunha Vaz & Associados as a director in November 2005. |

Francisco de Mendia With a degree in economics from Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa, has gained vast experience in communication management and in the financial sector. Manager at Cunha Vaz & Associados since 2005. Adviser to the Minister of Education in the 16th Constitutional Government, responsible for new technologies and communication, managing communication issues during the crisis over the placement procedure for teachers. Previously founding shareholder and director of Agência Financeira (now owned by the Media Capital Group), and on the staff of Banco Finantia, where he launches brokerage services for personal customers and private banking. Started his career as a journalist on Semanário and later on Diário Económico. |

Luis Lemos With a degree in law and post-graduate studies in institutional communication and organizational management, he has worked for various print media publications and was assistant editor of the in-house journal of the Benfica football club. He worked on the campaign staff for Joaquim Ferreira Amaral's candidacy to Lisbon Municipal Council (1997), and worked for the Universidade Internacional group, setting up its communication office (1999). He was invited in 2000 to coordinate the communication office at Sport Lisboa e Benfica, and to serve as institutional communication consultant to the chairman, Manuel Vilarinho, and subsequently to Luís Filipe Vieira. He joined Cunha Vaz & Associados in September 2004, since when he has held the post of manager. |

Ricardo Salvo After following the degree course in Media Studies at Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa, Ricardo Salvo began his career as a journalist in 1992 at Diário de Notícias, specializing in financial markets, banking and telecommunications. He moved to Semanário Económico in 1999, editing the investment and business sections. Joining the staff of Diário Económico in 2003, he worked first as special features editor, then as editor of the financial and business sections, and more recently as the newspaper's editor-in-chief. He started to work in the media consultancy sector in 2007, at Parceiros de Comunicação, as accounts director for institutional clients. Bruno Silva Licenciado em Organização e Gestão de Empresas, com especialização em Gestão Económico-Financeira, tendo ainda formação complementar pelo Instituto Formação Bancária em Mercados Financeiros, Produtos Bancários e Financeiros e Leis Bancárias e Financeiras. Frequentou ainda a Cátedra Jean-Monnet, tendo-se especializado em segmentação estratégica e frequentou vários cursos em mercados financeiros, produtos financeiros e análise de mercado realizados por instituições financeiras nacionais e internacionais. Profissionalmente esteve envolvido em operações de Private Equity, tanto do Buy-Side como do Sell-Side, com entidades nacionais e internacionais, tendo sido responsável pelas respectivas operações de reestruturação de capital, financiamento e Business-plans operacionais. Esteve também envolvido no projecto de reestruturação da rede da REFER no Norte de Portugal. Prestou aconselhamento a entidades financeiras enquanto non-executive director. Foi ainda, editor de mercados financeiros, banca e seguros, no grupo Media Capital, com artigos publicados em vários jornais nacionais, tendo ainda sido presença frequente nas rádios TSF e Antena 1 em comentários de mercado. Foi ainda consultor financeiro na Espirito Santo Financial Consultants. Bruno Silva está na Cunha Vaz & Associados desde 2006. |

Integra a equipa da Cunha Vaz & Associados em 2004. Desde então, ao longo da permanência na consultora, fez formação para especialização em comunicação financeira no Grupo Albión, em Madrid. José d'Aguiar Having completed his degree and post-graduate studies in International Relations and European Studies, he started his professional career as a probationer at the International Political Services Division at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. During the 15th Constitutional Government he worked on the staff of the Minister of Public Works, Transport and Housing and of the Secretary of State for Housing, as adviser on international and European affairs, and later as press secretary, a post he subsequently also held for three years at Lisbon Municipal Council. After serving as press secretary for a number of election campaigns, he joined Cunha Vaz & Associados in August 2007, as junior manager for political and institutional communication. |

Sofia Arnaud Licenciada em Economia pela Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa, iniciou a sua carreira em 1999 na área de jornalismo económico no semanário Euronotícias, especializando-se nas áreas de Mercados Financeiros, Empresas, Imobiliário, Turismo e Investimentos Alternativos. Simultaneamente, colaborou com algumas publicações, como são o caso da Revista Ganhar.Net, especializada em Internet, Telecomunicações, Marketing e Nova Economia e algumas revistas empresariais. Mais tarde foi colaboradora da Revista Tempo, revista generalista do Grupo Euronotícias. Em 2003 é convidada a relançar a revista OQ Lifestyle/ OQ Executive, evolução do formato da antiga revista OQ, propriedade da Quarto Poder – Sociedade de Comunicação S.A., especializada em ‘lifestyle’ e negócios, assumindo a responsabilidade de editora desta publicação. Além da edição, responsável pelo planeamento editorial da revista, coordenação das equipas de reportagem e fotografia e pelo acompanhamento dos processos de paginação, revisão e impressão. Ingressou na Cunha Vaz & Associados em 2006 como Senior Account, responsável pela área editorial das publicações internas da agência. Actualmente exerce funções de Junior Manager. |

Pedro Góis After studying at the António Arroio Decorative Arts School and graduating in media design from ESBAL, he worked in the audiovisual office at the Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Lisboa, and subsequently at the advertising agency, Título, having in the meantime won 1st prize in the competition for LNEC's periodicals and 1st prize in the competition for a new image for the Pescanova shops. From 1998 to 2001 he worked in the Semanário group, as art director for the weekly newspaper Semanário and the magazine Olá/Semanário, as well as other publications: Teenager, Playnet, Guia Satélite, Cristus, Jornal do Algarve and Factos magazine. From 2001 to 2003 he was in charge of graphic design and art director at Jornal de Negócios, holding the same office, from 2005 onwards, for the magazines Prémio, Prémio Viagens and Just Leader. He joined the staff of Cunha Vaz & Associados in August 2007 as Creative Director, working in the field of graphic design and advertising. |
